Goodbye, Bro. Rafael “Rafe” Donato, FSC

Last night, I received a text message from a colleague saying that Bro. Rafe was missing after swimming in Bataan. I prayed and held on to hopes that he is alright. Today, I received official word that Bro. Rafe has indeed passed. What a woeful, woeful day November 2, 2006 is.

My last conversation with Bro. Rafe was last month over the telephone. He asked me about my doctoral studies and my baby. He sounded as cheerful and animated as he was during our classes in Management Ethics. He made such an impact in my life that I wrote my doctoral dissertation proposal on ethics. I love him dearly and I will miss him so.
