The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Chapter 1

Thanks to Stephenie Meyer for pointing me to Entertainment Weekly's sneek peek of the first chapter of Breaking Dawn. It's a little short but I still enjoyed it. It's just sooooo Bella to be this concerned about what other people think of her engagement. Truly, she is young. I have a weird feeling the wedding will not push through as planned and this, I think, will make the book even more interesting. Can't wait till August!

Love Definition Without Using Cliches

My husband tagged me to define love without using cliches. So, here are my humble attempts.

Love is what compels me to respond to this tag even if I don't really know how to define love without using cliches. Hehehe...

Love is a smorgasboard of emotions. Just like in a smorgasboard (a.k.a. buffet), there are many flavors--some delicious and some not--but it is still worth the trip.

Now, I like to tag my colleague Vida and cousin Djong.

Groceries on Layaway?

I went to SM Hypermart last Saturday to do my weekly groceries and I heard an interesting announcement over the PA system. They announced that SM Hypermart now accepts 0% interest on purchases from the grocery for certain credit cards. It just made me realize that times are so hard these days that even groceries are offered on layaway. I thought the economy was good? I struggle to realize the implications of this reality for our less fortunate brothers and sisters. Everything has gone up...gas, electricity, food, education....what will the people do?

Chicken Ass, Anyone?

Ganns and I saw this on the menu of Reyes Barbeque and we just can't help but take a photo. A lot of people like to eat this part of the chicken but to see it on the menu is really quite amusing. Chicken ass is quite tasty...have you tried it?
